Italian Language Courses: Other Levels

At Italia 500, Italian Centre for Language and Cultural Studies, we offer language courses at nine levels: three at Beginner; three at Intermediate; and three at Advanced.

To enrol in a non-Beginner course (i.e.an Intermediate or Advanced course) you'll need to call Italia 500 on 9261 1795, provide us with a rough idea of what level you might be, and we will discuss your options.

We might ask you to come in for a free assessment and/or to sit, free of charge, in a particular course so that you can assess for yourself whether the course is right for you. Also, depending on your level and what is being covered in class, we may suggest you join a course in its fourth week or seventh week for instance - in which case you only pay for the lessons remaining in the course. Please do not send payments for non-beginner courses prior to having spoken to us.

Bear in mind that evening courses and ten week courses are more popular than daytime courses and; at any time of the year not all eight courses might be running concurrently; we have approximately 14 students per class therefore there may not be available places in a particular course; you may find that a course which is at your level may be held on a day which is not convenient for you. Furthermore - and this is what makes teaching so exciting - each class has its own character and progresses at different speeds.

Non-beginner courses, like the Beginner 1 courses, are ten weeks in duration, comprising of one 2.5 hour class per week. The cost is $270*.

*Fee includes all course material, use of Italia 500 "Practice" CDs and GST.
